A sociable skincare experience with time to try techniques, ask questions and enjoy a little self-care together.

Parent-and-baby groups

An informal self-care activity for the adults, with a flexible pace around feeding and settling. Babies remain in their parent or carer’s care; products and activities are for the adults.

Mother-and-teen time

Share an experience exploring skincare and optional simple makeup, with room for different preferences and questions. Parents and carers are welcome.

Teen skincare sessions

Explore a simple, age-appropriate routine, good hygiene and thoughtful product choices, without pressure to buy lots of products or achieve perfect skin.

I bring more than 25 years of professional hair and makeup experience to my teaching, alongside my role as an independent Tropic Ambassador. Skin preparation is an important part of my work, and I enjoy helping people make sense of their everyday routine.

In this session, I guide you as you apply products yourself, with clear explanations and space for questions. My aim is to make the experience approachable and enjoyable, with practical ideas you can take into your own self-care routine.

One-to-one or together

Available for individuals, friendship groups, coffee mornings, parent-and-baby groups, parent-and-teen sessions and organisations. Workshops can take place at a suitable venue of your choice, subject to suitability and availability. Guided sessions usually run for one to two hours; ask about shorter event formats.

Your kit, your choice

A Tropic skincare kit is provided for the session and included in your quoted price. If your group would also like simple makeup, Laura will confirm the products and equipment provided when quoting. There is no obligation to buy further products.

Pricing on application

Pricing is available on application and includes the skincare kit for each participant taking part in the skincare activity. Your quotation will reflect the session content, group size, location, venue arrangements and travel.

A few things you may want to know

Is this a facial treatment performed by Laura?

You carry out the facial yourself, following Laura’s guidance. This is a practical skincare experience rather than a therapist-performed facial treatment.

Do I need to be a Tropic Ambassador?

No. This experience is open to general participants and is separate from the Tropic Ambassador training course.

How long is the session?

The guided workshop runs for one to two hours. Shorter formats can be discussed for conferences, exhibitions and other events.

Can I attend if I have allergies or sensitive skin?

Please discuss any known product allergies or sensitivities with Laura before booking so she can review the proposed products and participation options with you. You can choose not to use a product or take part in a step.

Do I have to buy anything afterwards?

No. The session price includes your provided skincare kit, and there is no obligation to purchase further products.

Is this a qualification or CPD course?

This is a guided self-care experience. It is not presented as a professional qualification or an assessed CPD course.

What is included?

Can we include simple makeup?

Yes. Mention this when enquiring. Laura will discuss suitable activities and confirm the products, equipment and price for your group.

Is this suitable for teenagers?

Teen sessions focus on simple, age-appropriate skincare and optional makeup. Tell Laura the participants’ ages when enquiring so she can confirm suitability, product choices and parent or carer arrangements before booking.

Can I book a mother-and-teen session?

Yes. This can be a shared experience for a mother and teenager, or another parent or carer and their teen. Each person can explore their own preferences with Laura’s guidance.

How does a parent-and-baby session work?

The skincare activity is for parents and carers, with a flexible pace around feeding and settling. Babies remain in your care throughout. Let Laura know your group’s needs and venue when enquiring.

Can you come to our coffee morning or event?

Yes, subject to venue suitability and availability. Tell Laura your expected numbers, participants’ ages, location and available time so she can discuss a suitable format.

My Approach to Skincare & Makeup

Good preparation. Individual choices.

Understanding skin and preparing it well is an important part of my makeup teaching. We explore how skincare, product choice and application work together, with attention to each person’s needs, preferences and confidence.

Alongside my professional work, I’m an independent Tropic Ambassador. Its vegan and cruelty-free approach aligns with my personal values, and I enjoy sharing the range with anyone who is interested.

Exploring Tropic is entirely optional. You do not need to purchase Tropic products to attend a course—the focus is on practical skills and understanding what works for you.
