From respecting a production schedule to helping a bride feel calm, I share the professional habits that build trust.
We will explore set etiquette, discretion, reliability and adaptability: listening to a brief, responding constructively to feedback and judging when to offer input or give someone space. My aim is to help you develop your technique and a professional approach that gives people confidence in booking you again.

How long is the course?
The course runs over two days and provides 12 CPD hours.
What do I need to bring?
You are welcome to bring your own brushes and makeup kit. Starter kits can be provided on request at an additional cost. Please let Laura know when enquiring if you would like a starter kit.
Will there be practical assessment?
Yes. The course includes a complete makeup application with tutor observation and support, followed by feedback and reflection.
Will I receive a certificate?
The lesson plan includes a certificate presentation at course completion. Laura can explain the completion requirements when you enquire.
Will I learn every makeup style in depth?
The course introduces several professional styles alongside core application skills. It gives you foundations to develop through further practice, experience and specialist training.
Do I need to arrange a model?
Please check the practical arrangements with Laura when booking, including whether a model is needed for your session.
Can you run this for our college, salon or organisation?
Yes. Contact Laura to discuss a group booking, your learners’ experience, venue and training aims. Pricing is available on application.
Do I need to buy a particular brand?
No. Product purchases, including Tropic, are optional. The course focuses on techniques and selecting suitable products, with starter kits available on request at an additional cost.

Yes. Laura shares insight from television, bridal and commercial work, including set etiquette, preparation, teamwork, discretion and responding to a brief. This introduces the professional habits you can continue developing alongside your practical skills.

Understanding skin and preparing it well is an important part of my makeup teaching. We explore how skincare, product choice and application work together, with attention to each person’s needs, preferences and confidence.
