With more than 25 years of professional hair and makeup experience across bridal, television and commercial work, I bring practical insight into both the finished look and the experience you give your client.
A wedding morning asks for preparation, sensitivity and a calm, dependable approach. I share the importance of listening, managing expectations, respecting timings and working considerately alongside hair stylists, photographers and the wider wedding team.
My aim is to help you develop the technique and professional judgement that make a bride feel understood and well cared for, with practical feedback you can carry into your own work.

Do I need previous makeup experience?
There are no formal prerequisites, although some previous makeup knowledge is beneficial. Contact Laura to discuss your starting point and suitability.
How long is the course?
Professional Bridal Makeup Artistry is a two-day practical course providing 12 CPD hours.
What do I need to bring?
You are welcome to bring your own brushes and makeup kit. Starter kits can be provided on request at an additional cost. Please let Laura know when enquiring if you would like a starter kit.
Will I work on another learner?
Practical sessions include working in pairs. Laura will confirm arrangements for your booking, including any model requirements for one-to-one training.
Will we cover bridal trials and the wedding morning?
Yes. Consultation, bridal planning and client expectations sit alongside practical makeup skills. Laura also shares guidance on timings, a calm professional approach and working considerately with the wider wedding team.
Will I receive a certificate?
Learners who successfully complete the practical activities and demonstrate the learning outcomes receive an LJM Makeup Education Certificate of Completion. The two-day course provides 12 CPD hours.
Will I receive feedback on my work?
Yes. The course includes practical assessment and individual tutor feedback, with attention to application, product choices, consultation and professional working practices.
Can you offer this for our salon or college?
Yes. Contact Laura to discuss your learners, experience levels, venue and training aims. Group pricing is available on application.
Do I have to buy a particular brand?
No. You can bring your own suitable brushes and makeup kit or request a starter kit at an additional cost. Tropic and other product purchases are optional.

Understanding skin and preparing it well is an important part of my makeup teaching. We explore how skincare, product choice and application work together, with attention to each person’s needs, preferences and confidence.
